Epic Trailquests is a new series of mountain bike orienteering challenges being held across the South Lakes and Yorkshire Dales on 26 July, 6 September and 11 October.
The events aim to test your navigation and biking skills if you are a keen trailquester or simply offer a fun day out. Epic Trailquests aim to choose locations that offer all our participants great riding in beautiful locations and an opportunity to win some excellent prizes.
Not sure what a Trailquest is? It’s orienteering on a mountain bike with 20 to 30 control sites of varying values positioned alongside bridleways, byways or forestry trails. The aim is to collect as many points as possible within an allocated time. A map is issued at the start of the event with the check points marked on, but it’s down to you to pick the best route to collect as many points as possible and get back within the allowed time.
Epic Trailquests are 3 hour events but you can complete the challenge in any time you like as long as it is under 3 hours. Solos and pairs can enter the event in the seven categories.
