Ah the joys of those 24 hour nightlaps. Riding into trees you swear weren’t there last lap, fumbling with your tools in the dark as you try and repair the pinch flats caused by running over riders asleep in the middle of the trail….
Well if you’re some sort of riding vampire who wants an enduro race with as little daylight as possible, then the Marin Dusk ‘til Dawn will be right up your street. Planned for the August 24th/25th Bank Holiday weekend the race will start at 8pm and finish the following morning at 8am. It’s open to teams of four (2 girls, 2 boys), pairs and masochistic solo riders, and the course will be a twisty ten miler with 80% on twisty, swoopy singletrack.
The main sponsors are Marin, with Lumicycle sorting out the light recharging station, though more sponsors are expected to be announced soon. According to the press release “There’ll be a mellow, folksy atmosphere, night catering and some good racing over the Bank Holiday weekend.” We’ve no reason to doubt that as Thetford events are normally great.
