Downhill World Cup: Mont Sainte Anne – Recap

So last weekend not only saw the Enduro World Series, the XC World Cup it also was the weekend of the Downhill World Cup in Mont Sainte Anne! Busy weekend for race organisers!

Incredible ride from Stevie Smith, he takes the win by almost 1 second. Gee Atherton’s run was in the dry, as he went down the hill a lot earlier due to his crash in his qualifying run, and the heavens opened just before the top ten hit the course.

Sam Hill is on the podium once again, 3rd place today just 2 seconds back, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until we see him on that top step one again.

1st – Stevie Smith
2nd – Gee Atherton
3rd – Sam Hill

Emmeline Ragot is the first woman to beat Rachel Atherton all year, Manon Carpenter was close on the heels of Ragot, but not close enough, about 4 seconds back.

Rachel crashed twice which sent her 35 seconds back and in to 12 place.

Hope you’re okay Rach!

1st – Emmeline Ragot
2nd – Manon Carpenter
3rd – Floriane Pugin
