Dorset Rough Riders cc is organising the world first orienBEERing event. No tears, just beers, check pints instead of check points.
In teams of however many you fancy, armed with a map, you will cycle off into Wareham Forest area to find the “checkpints”, collecting points and consuming the hidden beers as you go. The secret stashes of beer will vary in quantity of points and quality of pints – “Value” beer at the really easy to get to spots, and good ale on the secret singletrack and hill tops!
We have some cool sponsors, some smart prizes, a unique trophy and best of all, it looks likely that we may have scrounged some free beers. What more could you want?
So, if you fancy a chilled afternoon this bank holiday, seeking out checkpints and consuming hidden stashes of beer, simply turn up at Silca Trail Carpark, Near Silent Woman Pub, Wareham Forest. Dorset, at 2pm on Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend.
