Cotswold Outdoor are hosting a series of free navigation workshops between April and June.
After a successful trial in 2010, the number of sessions, run association with Ordnance Survey, has been doubled to 15 to offer more people the chance to improve their map reading skills. Contact your local store directly to reserve a place.
The interactive classes are aimed at beginners or anyone wanting to brush up on their basic skills, ideal for when the GPS goes AWOL or relying on the tried-and-tested map and compass. All participants will receive a 25 per cent discount on Ordnance Survey maps purchased on the day.
“Map reading and compass skills are essential for any outdoor lover and we’re extremely pleased that, through our partnership with Ordnance Survey, we are able to offer these workshops to more of our customers nationwide,” said Cotswold Outdoor’s retail operations director Mike Stevens.
