Computer Navigation for Bikes?

Recently spotted in
‘BIKE’, the German mountain bike magazine:
“BIKE-NAVIC: the first bike tour guide on CD-ROM.
-33 mountain bike tours in the Trentino region (N.Italy).
-with 3D maps and 3D flights through the landscape.
-detailed trail information and height profiles.
-up to 10 photos per tour
-large tourist information database for the area”

However the really interesting things is that the developers of BIKE-NAVIC
are working on a compatible cycle computer, whereby the chosen route can
be downloaded and it will give out directions as and when you reach specified
waypoints!! They are reviewing the BIKE-Navic computer next month, so
I’ll give you more details then.
