Last year’s CLIC24 charity 24-hour event featured what many people considered to be an ever-so-slightly unsuitable course – short and with a ludicrously steep hill in it. Anyone still having nightmares about it can sleep easy, though. The organisers have released details of the 2005 course and it’s both a decent length and entirely bereft of unrideable slopes.
The 10mile loop on the Mendip Hills in Somerset features open moorland trails, singletrack, forest fireroads and a couple of little bits of Tarmac. Event Organiser Neil Wilkins said: “We think we’ve got the right balance this year. There’s really something for everyone and this year promises to be the best CLIC24 yet.”
