Latest entries to the burgeoning events calendar are two top gigs from West Drayton MBC. First up is the sixth Buckinghamshire 100km Off-Road Classic (2 May; Denham, Bucks). It’s a big enduro event – you can probably guess the distance. Organiser Chris Denman says, “Starting within the M25 and heading into the Chilterns this is a hard ride and shouldn’t be underestimated. The hills are relentless and there’s some lovely singletrack along the way.”

Later in the year there’s the Heff’s Team Challenge and XC races (12 September) around a four mile course at the ever-popular Ash Vale.
