The Bristol Bikefest and Oktoberfest are back for 2011 with a new title sponsor, components manufacturer Ritchey.
The Bikefest will take place on June 4-5, with a new course to take advantage of the current trail development at Ashton Gate.
The 12-hour team/solo endurance race will take place on Saturday, followed on Sunday by the six-hour team/solo event and the three-hour novice event.
Both days are aimed at experienced riders, as well as newcomer, with solo, pair and team of four categories available. Teams (mixed or single sex) can be entered in the open, ‘old gits’ (average age of riders needs to be 40+ years) or single speed (Saturday only) categories.
The event will continue its tradition of live music on Saturday night, with a DJ running into the night on Friday and Saturday, with a bar on hand, as well as the Bikefest food village and an event village, with a selection of the latest bikes and kit. Camping and shower facilities are, as ever, also available.
Oktoberfest made its debut in 2010 and will return this year, again at Ashton Court, on October 15. Full details will be announced later in the year.
