Those French investigators have got him cold now! Lance’s latest victory was undoubtedly assisted – Not by illegal drugs though, but by Texan journalist Sally Jenkins.
Lance’s autobiography “It’s not about the bike” has just scooped the William Hill Sports book of the year prize, with it’s suprisingly frank and honest story of his first diagnosis with testicular cancer to his win in the 1999 Tour De France. It’s a stunning story – if it wasn’t true you wouldn’t believe it – but it’s also extremely disarming in relation to Armstrong’s approach and reactions to various events from victories to massive setbacks.
It’s a great stocking filler even if you’ve never really taken much interest in road cycling and the details you’ll need for your Santa list are as follows; It’s Not About The Bike: My Journey Back to Life, by Lance Armstrong with Sally Jenkins, published by Yellow Jersey Press, and it’ll set Rudolf back £17.
