Fancy a coast-to-coast challenge with a twist? Mountain bike holiday specialists H&I Adventures have launched an all-mountain Scottish adventure.
The eight-day east-to-west trip takes in the best off-road riding Scotland has to offer, through some of the most wild, dramatic and diverse landscapes in the UK.
Starting in the far north east Highland coastal town of Bonar Bridge, the voyage finishes in the fishing village of Applecross, where you can enjoy views out to the Isle of Skye to the west.
The ride covers nearly 300km, descending a mouth-watering 7500m, while taking in the best trails in Torridon, Gairloch, Ullapool and Applecross – and a high-speed RIB ride across a Highland loch is thrown in too.
Your efforts will be rewarded each evening in the comfort of three or four star B&B accommodation and, of course, the opportunity to sample the local whiskey.
