The mini DH series that promises to be the “fun exciting way to race downhill” is back for another year, with two dates confirmed – 22 February at Forest of Dean and 29 March at Chicksands.
The 661 Mini DH series is aimed at riders new to the sport while more experienced riders are looked after for with a Pro Am category. Each rider gets two race runs on the short 45 second course, with the fastest time counting.
For youngsters making their first steps into racing, the organisers have been granted approval by British Cycling for 10 and 11-year-olds to take part in the races, with their own niftily titled ‘Rippers’ category.
Practice starts at 9am with the first rider off properly at 11am. Prize presentations kick off at 3.45pm, and with sponsorship from SixSixOne, Sunline, Royal Clothing and Dirt Magazine, there’ll be loads of top prizes to go round.
