Looking for something a little different? Open12 will we the UK’s first 12-hour adventure race, taking place on 23/24 June in the Yorkshire Dales. You’ll be mountain biking and running in considerable amounts, and also doing other fun stuff like abseiling, caving and white water paddling.
The Open12 bridges a gap between the popular Open5 series of 5-hour events, and the challenging Open24 race. The event is for male, female and mixed pairs and as usual, early entries attract a discount on the entry fee.
If you’re after something a bit shorter, the next Open5 is at Keswick on 13 May. And if you’re after a challenge, the OpeAn24 will be on 28/29 July, also in the Lake District.
