The first trails at Carron Valley in Central Scotland opened early last year, the next set is about to be officially opened and there are exciting plans for the next phase of development. To celebrate these things (and to unveil the latter), the Carron Valley Partnership will be staging the inaugural Carron Valley BikeFest on 12 May.
Riders of all ages and abilities are invited to come along and try the new additions to the popular MTB trail network, see the future plans for the centre and enjoy a host of fun activities throughout the day. The Carron Valley BikeFest kicks off near the forest office at the eastern Dam car park from 11am on 12 May 2007 and will run all day long.
To refuel there’ll be a sizzling hog roast and the Red Bull Energy Station. Future plans for the area will be on display, so you’ll be able to have a look and have your say. There’ll be a rolling programme of MTB films on show courtesy of Chilli Video, plus trade stalls and a raffle with some great prizes.
