Are we there yet?
Many of you will be aware of Eurobike, but for those wondering what on earth I am on about, all you need to know is that it’s the largest cycle show in the world.
It’s held in September every year in Friedrichshafen, Germany and Bikemagic has been attending for the past five years (do a search here to see those articles from the archives).
As the largest show of its type, it’s the ideal opportunity to see all the latest products from the biggest (and smallest) brands. While we’ve been fortunate to see many 2011 products already, many brands save the unveiling of their latest bikes, accessories and clothing for this show.
And this being a show that attracts companies from around the world and deepest Europe, there’s sure to be a few strange and interesting products that will never make the light of day on UK soil. All to add a little flavour to our coverage.
As you’re reading this, the Bikemagic team (along with RoadCyclingUK.com) is driving to Germany to arrive Tuesday evening. Why drive you ask? Well, we thought a road trip would infinitely more fun than the misery of queuing in airports and being cramped up in a plane and drinking crap coffee.
Once we arrive and get our press passes, you’ll be able follow our time there, and the things that catch our eye, through the Bikemagic Twitter page (www.twitter.com/bikemagic) with hourly updates, while for those afraid (or sceptical) of Twitter, there’ll be in-depth highlights on the Bikemagic homepage.
Stay tuned…
PS. While we’ll do our best to uncover every little gem of newness from the show, if you’ve got any requests of new products you want to know about, please post them in the forum below.
