There’s a growing market for 29er components and the latest to hit the shelves is Ratio’s Anthrax 29er fork.
Featuring a full carbon construction made using a monocoque process with a combination of unidirectional and high modulus 3K carbon; the fork weighs just 560g.
The fork blades are heavily shaped, flowing from an oval diameter to circular throughout their length, designed to reduce the vibrations passing through to the rider. A ridge along the fork crown increases lateral stiffness.
Crown-to-axle length is 465mm with a 39mm offset, akin to an 80mm suspension fork. In place is a tapered steerer tube and the dropouts are similarly made from carbon, with aluminium protectors, and accept 9mm QR axles.
And the price? Painted it’ll cost £450 or £430 in a raw finish. Available now from www.hotlines-uk.com
