Cycle and Leisure Show 2000

Well
here they are, Brant’s pictures from the NEC event.
Don’t even ask about the technical problems he had!

On with the show…….

Foes
These two new Foes frames looks the business.
Foes UK owner Andy Newsome wouldn’t tell us what it they called or
how much they cost, “cos you’ll only go and put the wrong name and
price next to it anyway”. Andy is contactable on [email protected],
so drop him an email if you want to know more.

Mountain
Cycle

Mountain Cycle, also imported by Andy, are
now providing this bolt on cable stop on their frames to stop you
wrecking yourself and your brake cables when you crash.

Electric
Boom Boom

Electric bikes are the future for lazy people, or those without leg
muscles. This was one of the more bizarre looking efforts we saw.
We’ve got an electric folding bike on test at the moment, and you’ll
see more of it later this week.
Felt
Felt bikes look lovely. We’ll be uploading the Hi-res shot
of this later and hopefully getting on in on test. It’s got a huge
ally downtube and looks like a really nice modern XC rigid frame.
Crap name though.

Turner
That baby-faced looking chap is Dave Turner, and that’s
his new DH bike that we’ve cropped out of shot. He’s using a twin
downtubed design which I’ve neatly avoided photographing. Doh! Looks
lovely. RAW are bringing them in and have promised not to send us
one. Cheers!
Twentyfourseven
24 in wheeled Jump bike from twentyfourseven. Yum.

THE
My motocross bike doesn’t have this much “plastic”
on it. And that there is Toby Henderson (THE man) using a big hammer
to fix a mudguard in place

.
Powerbar
launched several new bars at the show. They’ve got
a new sort of Flap-jack-y sort of thing and bitesized ones as well.
They’ve promised us a huge lorry load to give away to anyone who comes
to see us when we’re at BIKE 2000 later in the year. Yummy.
