As the summer looms into view Fox have revealed details of the latest additions to its ever-expanding clothing range, with a new jersey, shorts and gloves. Here’s an overview of what’s new.

First up let’s start with the new Race Air Cool jersey. The blurb we’ve been sent claims impressive levels of moisture wicking with the Air-Cool fabric due to a novel ‘raised dobby polyester’ and Q4 Quad Stretch increases comfort with a performance fit (in essence something between racer tight and freeride baggy). There’s a full front zip and three rear pockets – so ideal for XC racing and endurance events for keeping food to hand – and an extra zipped pocket for valuables.

The new Evolution Bib Shorts are a perfect partner for the Race Air Cool jersey. We’re big proponents of bib shorts over regular Lycra shorts here at Bikemagic as they’re so much more comfortable. The Evolution’s keep matters simple, an understated product with smart design, multi-panel construction and flat-lock stitching throughout.

Gloves are without a doubt Fox’s key product, and the Reflex Gel Short are, in their long finger guise, a favourite of the Bikemagic team – read our review here. These fingerless gloves feature padded gel palm for better comfort, a Terry towel thumb for snotty types and a TRP wrist tab closure system.

Finally, Fox has a new hydration pack in its range, the XC Race Hydration Pack. A 2L (68oz) Hydrapak reservoir is housed in a durable 600D polyester main body fabric featuring a small zippered stash pocket and external elastic shock cord storage system for those essentials. The reversible reservoir is easy to maintain and features a slide seal closure ensuring there are no leaks and a high Flow Bite Valve for immediate refuelling.
