Fox continues to expand its clothing range in keeping with the company’s aim to ‘create the ultimate collection of riding gear’. Here’s a first look at some of the 2010 highlights.
One of the more interesting items is the new V3R helmet, which is essentially the company’s popular V3 motocross helmet tweaked for mountain bike use. It might seem an odd move until you realise there’s more than a few riders opting for the extra crash protection a MX lid affords, so Fox have taken the obvious step of lightening its MX helmet for such demands. The use of a carbon fibre shell has lightened it up and the addition of 10 vents provides some cooling.
Elsewhere in the range are the new Ventilator shorts. Made from a lightweight shell they’re intended for hot days, with ventilation ports and a shorter outseam and inside a inner mesh short is detachable. An all-new Evo chamois has been developed for improved saddle comfort.
The new Launch Pro Knee Pad use a softshell knee pad with a harder plastic knee insert with improved ergonomics for better comfort and stability. Upper body protection is taken care of with the Titan Sport Jacket, a bodysuit that combines a hard plastic shell around the back, shoulders, chest and arms with a ‘mesh ventilated chassis’.
Lastly, the new Dirt Shirt collection uses high wicking and anti-microbial bamboo fabric with the usual Fox aesthetic.
