Craft Siberian gloves £32
Craft’s Siberian gloves are described by the Swedish company as their ‘warmest gloves to date’ and this claim is easily backed up after just one ride in the current arctic conditions smothering the UK.
The gloves are made using a three-layer construction, with a stretchy wind-resistant outer shell which offers an exceedingly good barrier against the cold wind, and a soft fleece liner. Sandwiched somewhere in the middle is a polyester shell which provides the bulk of the warmth for your fingers.
They are bulky gloves, but the warmth they provide on the bike is outstanding. We feared there might be a marked compromise in grasping the bars or working the brake levers and gear shifters, but the good fit and addition of silicone dots across the synthetic leather palm and on the index and fore finger increases dexterity.
A large 2in cuff is expandable and easily slipped over a thick winter jacket and two under layers, and a small micro-Velcro tab clamp it down into place. And for sufferers of a runny nose, there’s a huge expanse of towelling on the thumb.

Verdict
I suffer from poor circulation and these Siberian gloves are one of the few capable of keeping my hands warm in freezing conditions.
