Bike and component brand Velocite has announced two new mountain bikes that will launch next week at the Cycle Show, September 27-30 at the NEC.
The two new bikes join Velocite’s well-regarded carbon fibre Flux 26er in the line-up and comprise an alloy equivalent to the Flux 26er and an all new 29er.
Billed very much as fast cross-country trail bikes, the alloy 26er and 29er will be available as frame only or as complete bikes.
The 26er frame is £419, with complete bikes starting at £1590, while the 29er frame is £429; complete bikes start at £1690 RRP.
Spec choices for complete bikes include SRAM and Shimano components as well as Maxxis tyres, Magura forks and brakes, Fulcrum wheels and a mixture of Velocite and Truvativ finishing kit with full specs available from the Velocite stand or via the website after the show.
If you want to try the carbon Flux 26er, there will be a SRAM XX-equipped model on the show’s mountain bike test track.
Velocite’s CEO, Victor Major will also be running seminars as part of the show’s event programme discussing the advances in carbon fibre technology for bike manufacture amongst other things.
Velocite UK’s Mark Almond says he’s really excited to be able to offer a wider range of mountain bikes for 2013.
“The Velocite MTB range now offers high performance hardtail fans a choice of frame material and wheel sizes. The performance from each bike is simply breathtaking and with a 650b frame also being launched for 2013, I honestly believe the Velocite range is now one of the best in the business,” he says.
Velocite will be on stand D42 at the Cycle Show or you ca find out more from the Velocite UK website.
