Orange Bikes have got 2012 off to a decent start with the announcement of the Five Black Gold limited edition model.

It keeps everything that many people know and love about the classic Five, the geometry, frame design and suspension performance, but offers a new price below the Pro spec at £2699.99.

For that you get Kashima coated Fox FIT RLC 140mm forks and RP23 shock, bolt-thru axles at both ends to stiffen it up nicely, and Avid Elixir 5 brakes, RaceFace chainset and Shimano SLX/XT 10-speed transmission. And all finished with a lovely glossy Jet Black paint job.

Just 100 bikes will be made available, ensuring it’s limited availability and rarity value on the trail. Chances of spotting another are going to be slim to none.
