Who better to show us and talk through the new Lapierre Zesty than the official fastest man on a mountain bike Mr Nicolas Vouilloz.
He may have retired years ago, but he’s still blistering fast on two wheels and is heavily involved in the development of Lapierre’s range of bikes, which have been updated for next year.
There are no major changes to the Zesty, a popular bike with UK trail riders, so the French company has instead improved the spring rate to improve the suspension performance in the first part of the travel.
Geometry has also been slackened, a degree off the head angle making it now 67, along with a slightly lower bottom bracket to boot – should make it more stable through the high speed sections.
