Qoroz is a newish UK brand that launched at the London Cycle Show just a couple of years ago. They specialise in titanium frames, with a range comprising road and time trial bikes and, seen here, the Mountain Won hardtail.
The name sort of gives the bikes intentions away a little. It’s a lightweight hardtail which Qoroz describe as being ideally suited to “riding the Montevideo, Uruguay on the Atlantic Coast, with a thousand miles and the Andes in-between”.
The brushed bare metal 3Al/2.5V titanium frame is designed around a 100mm travel suspension fork with geometry tuned for outright speed and fast handling. Frame weight (for a medium) is quoted as being 1.4kg and costs £1050. A frameset package, including a Qoroz titanium stem and seatpost, spacers and a Chris King headset, is available for £1500. Three sizes plus a custom option is available for an extra £200.
Qoroz is the work of Marcus Eales, who with years of experience in the precision engineering field, has now turned his attention to creating a range of bikes all crafted from titanium.
We’ve been riding one. A full review soon. For now, head to www.qoroz.co.uk
