Pinnacle have announced details of their 2011 fleet, due to be in stock from mid-March.
The brand, available exclusively through Evans Cycles’ 43 stores, first launched in 2006. Geared towards the mainstream market, the collection kicks off with the entry-level Lithium, a 700c flatbar bike with a MTB-inspired geometry and upright riding position for city commuting duties or weekend canal towpath rides, which will retail for between £329.99 and £499.99.
The Willow (£349.99-£549.99) aims to serve women as an introduction to off-road riding with a compact frame geometry, low slung toptube combined with shorter crankarm length, stem, narrower handlebars and female-specific saddle. Kenda Komodo 2.1″ tyres complete the look.
Next up, the Jarrah comes at four pricepoints, ranging from £349.99 for the Jarrah One with Shimano seven speed drivetrain and Suntour XCT V3 fork with 80mm of coil-sprung travel, up to the performance-orientated Jarrah Four (£599.99) with Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes, 100mm RockShox Dart 3 forks and nine speed Shimano Deore/SLX drivetrtain.
Stepping up again, the Iroko (£849.99-£1099.00) looks to bring high-end performance at an affordable price, with Shimano, RockShox, Continental and Mavic all on board.
And finally, the Arkose (£849.99-£999.99) cyclo-cross steed is billed by Pinnacle as the do-it-all bike – canal towpaths, green lanes, tarmac, and light off-road.
The Arkose One comes equipped with an FSA Tempo 30-39-50T triple chainset matched to an 11-28T cassette, while the upgraded Arkose Two has cross-specific FSA Gossamer 46/36T chainset and Tektro Lyra 160mm cable-pull disc brakes to bring it bang up to date with the latest UCI regulations.
They look goo on paper, and we’ll be hope to take a closer look soon.
