Bike 3: New Nerve AL 27.5
Maximum reliability and top all-round features – these are the characteristics of a perfectly balanced touring bike. The 120 millimetre Canyon Nerve AL all-rounder has been the most popular full suspension touring bike of MountainBIKE readers and the most successful model series in the Canyon Mountain Bike product range.
The challenge for the development of the new Nerve AL was then to build a bike which is light enough for use on marathons whilst also being versatile and comfortable enough for classic transalps and lengthy trail adventures. Based on the successful models in the Nerve family and the Nerve AL 29 launched in 2013, the Canyon Nerve AL has been completely redesigned for the 2014 model year and adjusted so that it harmonises perfectly with the larger 27.5″ wheels. Both models, the Nerve Al and the Nerve AL 29 are lightweight sports tourers and as such are perfect partners to the downhill-oriented trail bikes in the Nerve AL series.
