Whyte 829
British bike firm Whyte Bikes have entered their first ever 29er into the 2012 market with the release of the 829, an aluminium hardtail that has all the makings of another classic from the brand.
What makes it so special?
Whyte designer Ian Alexander wanted the 829 to appeal to trail riders rather than racers, so settled on a slacker head angle and chainstays as short as possible. This results in a bike well suited to those who like to be in charge, rather than a mere passenger, and creates dynamic handling for the rider who likes to have fun and choose the more interesting lines.
We rode the 829 and you can read our review.
