Fresh out of the box, here’s the aggressive-looking Scott G-Zero FX20. It’s just showed up, which is great as none of the other bikes in the BM shed actually work right now and we’re off to Wales in a minute. So first test outing will be the singletracks of Coed y Brenin at the Fat Tyre Festival – wave if you spot it.
It’s quite a looker, actually – two-tone grey and black with little orangey bits and a bonkers bolt-on fender thing. It all looks a little bit MXey but not too much. And we’re quite taken with the Scott-branded rims and tyres – the rims have the bottom half of the SCOTT USA logo on them and the tyres have the top half on them. Crazy, huh?
The £1,379 asking price gets you an LX/XT transmission, 120mm Manitou Black fork, Hayes brakes and three rear suspension settings from 95 to 125mm. Looks like a pretty good deal – we’ll let you know how it rides in the next couple of weeks.
