Niner Bikes, the 29er specialists, will release a limited edition run of its new Air 9 RDO, with just 50 bikes available.
The first batch of frames, which feature updates including revised tube profiles and a new brake mount and a 0.5lb weight reduction, will be painted in Niner Green or Liquorice Black.
They’ll be built with a high level build kit to match their limited edition status, with RockShox SID XX World Cup forks, Shimano XTR groupset, American Classic Race 29 wheels, Race Face Next carbon cranks and topped up with a helping of Niner RDO components.
Taking Niner’s 29er geometry the frame is designed around 80-100mm suspension forks, with a tapered head tube stiffening up the front. Tyre and heel clearance is improved too, and there’s now a post mount out back. Niner back each frame with a C5 carbon warranty.
And the price? $6199… The bikes will be available in March. Frame-only sales will be expected soon after.
