For 2012 Sussex-based importer i-ride will offer a choice of three coloured Thomson face plates, exclusive to the UK.
For many Thomson are the benchmark when it comes to stems and seatposts, with a devoted following. But colours have traditionally been limited to black or silver only.
i-ride’s Paul Butler told us that Thomson customers mostly opt for the black components, but that it was keen to offer a splash of colour to those people who like to customise their bikes. If they prove popular, they’ll also offer matching seat clamps and seatpost head clamps.
The face plates will cost about £25, which will include new bolts and a Thomson branded bag. So what do you think? Will you be customising your Thomson stem?
