RockShox Reverb dropper seatpost now available

One of the most eagerly anticipated products this year is RockShox’s foray into the world of adjustable-height seatposts, with its new RockShox Reverb.

Adjustable-height seatposts have been popular for the last couple of years especially on all-mountain bikes where the ability to drop the saddle a few inches out of the way can be a real boost on technical trails and drops.

RockShox hasn’t rushed this new product to market, instead making sure to get it absolutely sorted before release. The wait, we reckon, should be worth it. The dropper post offers 125mm (4.92in) of adjustment via a hydraulically activated remote handlebar lever.

Sealing is important to prolong the life of the post, and so RockShox uses a ‘triple-lipped energised’ sealing system to prevent dirt ingress. Service intervals are reported to be 60-hours, which should satisfy most typical mountain bikers.

The shaft of the post is made 3D forged 7075 aluminium with a two-bolt inline clamp. 30.9mm and 31.6mm diameter options will be available, and weight is 515g for a 380mm 30.9mm item.

Price is £274.99, available now from www.fisheroutdoor.co.uk

We’ll be getting one in for testing soon, and we’ll let you know how we get on.
