For 2010 Marzocchi has updated its Dirt Jump forks range. The biggest change is an inverted crown which has brought the weight down by 15% and increased strength by 30%.
Internally there are significant changes, with higher quality two-piece bushings with vertical slots allowing for better oil penetration. The bushings are also paired to the stanchions and lower legs to ensure tighter tolerances and smother running.
Outside a new lower casting has been made with a new lattice-reinforced brake arch to improve tracking and a traditional 20mm bolt through axle is used on the 4X and DJ1 models
The Dirt Jump 1 and 2 forks utilise the updated Open Bath RV damper that features externally adjustable rebound damping. The Dirt Jump 1 and 2 models feature a coil spring and a low pressure pre-load system. Weighing 2240g for an open bath, coil sprung fork the DJ1 weighs 355g less than the 2009 DJ1 while increasing strength by 30%.
Developed by Brian Lopes and Cedric Gracia, the new Four Cross uses the RC3 cartridge has been tweaked to perfection at the most demanding races. The Italian manufactured cartridge gives a wide and usable range of rebound and both high and low speed compression adjustment. The High and low compression is adjusted from just one dial.
