Canadian outdoor and climbing equipment manufacturer Arc’teryx introduces its first line of trail running and biking packs, the Aerios range.
There are three models to choose from depending on how much stuff you want to take on your ride, a 7-, 10- and 14-litre option. The pack is suspended on your back by an air-permeable AeroForm panel while breathable mesh shoulder straps support the weight. 3D moulded framesheets grant vertical flex and horizontal stability is ensured through the use of ‘anti-barreling ribs’.
The pack accepts typical hydration bladders and there’s provision for stowing waterproofs on the outside, held in place with bungee compression straps. Furthermore, the 14-litre pack has an external stretch mesh kangaroo pocket for carrying even more luggage. Another interesting design feature is a modular waist belt that can be positioned higher or lower to eliminate the pack shifting around your back during those more energetic riding moments.
They’re light too. The smaller 7-litre pack weighs a reported 408g.
Prices are as follows:
Arc’teryx Aerios 7 – £60
Arc’teryx Aerios 10 – £70
Arc’teryx Aerios 14 – £80
