While most mountain bikers (us included) prefer to use a hydration pack when out riding, let’s not forget that many perfer the simplicity of using a water bottle, particularly if you’re at all into XC racing.

With that in mind, Elite has released the its brand new Jossanova water bottle. Boldly it’s described as “the advanced water bottle design” so it’s got to be good, right? It’s pivotal feature is a membrane valve that releases fluid automatically when the bottle is squeezed but prevents drips or leaks if the bottle is knocked, shaken, or even dropped. No more lost fluids.

The new bottle design also promises to keep you better hydrated more easily thanks to a high flow rate or 47 ml per second. The Jossanova also includes a solid locking mechanism to prevent any chance of your drink escaping if the bottle is compressed during transit.

The new cap now completely disassembles for easy cleaning and drying. The new valve design is softer on the mouth and easier to grip in rough conditions. The bottle itself has all the features you associate with Elite, being 100% BPA free and dishwasher safe with no plastic taste.
