After a long wait the new Fox Striker helmet is finally here. And we have one in our hands as a sample landed on the the BM editorial desk this morning.
This new helmet is the follow-up to the well received Flux, the company’s first foray into a trail helmet released a few years ago. The Striker moves things along a notch however, and is designed to be sleeker, lighter and better ventilated.
Stylistically, it bears a close resemblance to the Flux but looks smaller and less bulky, with a reduced profile from all angles. It’s got a load more vents in the EPS shell, 22 in total and they look well shaped and placed to do their job, scooping cooling in across your hot and sweaty head, effectively.
Flipping the Striker over there’s generous strips of padding and the Detox II retention system looks easy to use and offers a wide range of adjustment.
It’s available now costing £90 and comes in four colours (White/Black/Red, Black/Charcoal, Black/White, Silver and Black) and two sizes.
We’ll have a full review soon.
