Chocolate Distribution has become the exclusive UK distributor for Honey Stinger for 2011.

This follows the news that Lance Armstrong, seven-time Tour de France winner, has bought a minority share in the company hailing from Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Honey Stinger offer a range of honey-based energy bars, gels, waffles and chews, using natural ingredients for a nutritious and great tasting snack. The energy products are already used by many top runners and cyclists, including the legendary Tinker Juarez, and the Trek Livestrong U23 cycling team.

We tried a selection of the different bars at last week’s Core Bike show and came away impressed. Of notable interest was the Stinger Waffle, a snack that proved immensely tasty with an interesting texture unlike typical energy bars. We can see it being a hit on long-distance events like the Kielder 100 and solo 24-hour races.
