The Christmas party season is upon us and a press release landed in the Bikemagic inbox that warmed the cockles.

Fuel for Adventure, the company behind the MuleBar range, have put their energy gels to good use ahead of the inevitable office booze-ups – in cocktails.

According to Fuel for Adventure, the KICKS Cherry Bomb gel goes hand-in-hand with champagne like Red Bull and vodka.

The gel, made from a unique combination of ingredients including organic cherry extract, naturally sourced brown rice syrup, agave nectar and Himalayan crystal salts, can also be combined with Cava or Prosecco or mixed with vodka, ginger beer and fresh mint to create a Cherry Bomb Mule.

“The taste is incredible,” so says Fuel for Adventure co-founder Alex Smith.

“It’s similar to a Kir Royale, hence the name Mule Royale, but far superior and with the added bonus of an energy kick to it.
