Helmet manufacturer Bell has today launched their latest and lightest helmet, the Gage, weighing just 233g.
The Gage has been designed from the pads up to be as light as possible, an impressive 233g, and also the best ventilated, 26 vents in total ensure your scalp is kept as cool as possible.
Bell uses a Fusion In-Mould microshell to construct the lid and it utilities Bell technologies, TAG Fit System and X-Static padding, to offer high levels of fit adjustment and comfort, ideal for longer rides.
A variety of different colour options will be available for the Gage, including a special limited edition model in the colours of the BMC team. The Gage is expected to be available in the UK during the summer.
We’ve always been fans of Giro helmets here at Bikemagic, with their styling, fit and comfort ranking up there with the very best. The previous range topper model the Volt is still in regular use in this office, and the Gage appears, based on this press release, to be a good, if long overdue, update.
It faces stiff competition on the weight front however, the Giro Aeon hits 189g while the Specialized Prevail is 185g. We’ll tell you how good the Gage is once we’ve got our hands on one.
It’ll cost £159.99. What do you think? Comments below…
