Work has begun on latest trail developments
Octoberfest is the final race of the Kielder Trail Reavers 2008 Marathon series, and takes place on 4 October in Kielder Forest.
The event task riders with completing two laps of an approximately 25km course which makes use of several sections of the Deadwater singletrack mountain bike trails, in the reverse direction.
Each event will be pre-marked, and route maps will be available to view on the morning of the race days. All proceeds from the race are split between The Great North Air Ambulance and Kielder Trail Reavers.
Kielder Trail Reavers is a community project, staffed by volunteers and formed to build sustainable mountain bike trails in Kielder Forest, europe’s largest manmade forest.
