Mountain biking will be making its presence felt at The Cycle Show next week, with the latest bikes from a range of manufacturers being on display, as well as the return of the woodland test track. Back by popular demand, the track gives visitors not only the chance to see the latest mountain bikes, but put them through their paces as well.

British manufacturer Storck continue to impress with their MTB range, and will be exhibiting their new for 2015 Adrenic model. Following on from its popular predecessor, the Organic, Adrenic shares a similar ‘virtual four-bar linkage’ setup. The full sus machine boasts two rockers isolated from the rear triangle. ensuring precise responses and reaction-free suspension characteristics. This coupled with its subtle yet eye catching looks make Adrenic a must see.

Marin will also be bringing an extensive range to the show, amongst which will be the Attack Trail and the Rift Zone. The Attack Trail is designed and built for all-mountain and enduro riding, with 150mm travel full-suspension chassis, and design features including low, slack geometry, short chainstays. This is as well as 27.5-inch wheels that are built with 21mm rims and 2.35-inch tyres.

For those looking to ride longer distances, Marin will also be showing the Rift Zone 29er C-XC9. This model offers 140mm of fixed travel front and rear, and 27.5-inch wheels. The Rift zone’s build is significantly lighter than the Attack Trail, which is achieved by using a simplified suspension system, fixed-travel 32mm chassis forks, and lighter components.

In addition to being able to see these and many other mountain bikes up close, visitors to the show will be able to put several of the bikes through their paces, on the 1km long single-track test trail. The trail includes rock gardens, berms, rollers and jumps, ensuring that both rider and bike are given a thorough workout.

The Cycle Show is the UK’s number 1 cycling exhibition, held each year at the NEC in Birmingham. Featuring products from over 250 exhibitors and attracting an audience in excess of 25,000 people, the show is a must-visit event on the calendar of cycling enthusiasts.
