Following the success of the first outing of the 661 Mini DH race, it’s back for a second round and heads to the Forest of Dean on Sunday 7 December.
The event, described as “…the new fun and exciting way to race downhill,” is aimed at riders new to DH racing as well as catering for seasoned types. Racers get two runs on courses roughly 30-40secs long, with the fastest time going towards your final placing.
“There are hundreds of people who ride at the Forest of Dean that have never raced,” says organiser Chris Roberts, “so we have brought a race to their local track. The course is fun and following to ride but a real challenge to ride flat out on the limit.”
The event is open to all abilities, and you don’t need a race licence to take part. There’ll be prizes from SixSixOne, Royal Clothing and Sunline for the top three finishers in each category.
