Following the freshly released Tracer VP and work-in-progress Uzzi VP revealed last year, Intense Cycles has followed up with another brand new bike for 2009, the Intense Spider 2.
Like the Tracer VP we brought you news of last July, the Intense Spider 2 (replacing the Spider XVP) adopts the company’s latest generation VPP design. Poised to bridge the gap between the Spider FRO XC race frame and the more trail focused Tracer VP, the new Spider gets 4.5-5in of adjustable travel along with updated geometry and new proprietary EA6x double butted tube set. Along with other revisions to the frame is a 1.5in head tube. Claimed weight is 5.7lbs for a medium.
No UK prices as yet, but in the US it’ll be around $1,999 for frame and Fox RP23 shock. Release expected soon…
