Mojo Suspension has confirmed its 2009 race team lineup. Once again, the team will include downhill and XC racers who’ll be riding Orange bikes. Given Mojo’s position as importer and distributor of Fox Racing Shox, the presence of the vulpine suspension products will be no surprise. The DH bikes will be running DHX-RC4 rear shocks and 40RC2 forks.
Other sponsores include Hope Technology (brakes and hubs), e-thirteen (chain devices), SDG (seats and seatposts), Crank Brothers (pedals), Lizard Skins (grips) and the other Fox (clothing).
In downhill, Dan Stanbridge will return for a fourth year with Mojo. He’ll be competing on the World Cup circuit, the UK NPS and a selection of other one-off events. Alongside Dan will be Aimee Dix, who’ll be finding the time to race the NPS and European rounds of the World Cup while working full-time as a Mojo service technician.
As well as its own team, Mojo will also be supplying suspension and technical support to the Subaru MTB Pro Racing Team, comprising double DH World Champ Fabien Barel and teammates Damien Spagnolo and Florent Payet.
Mojo will also have three XC riders. Brothers Antony and Sean O’Boyle will be racing Elite and Expert respectively, while Ross Porter will be racing in Veterans.
Mojo MD Chris Porter says:
“Although the Elite male portion of the Mojo team has been slimmed down, the amount of effort we are putting into top-level DH racing has gone through the roof. We’ve been measuring, marking, datalogging, drawing, riding, reporting, timing, testing, riding, riding again, riding some more and then riding again! Our enthusiasm for DH racing and testing hasn’t waned at all and with the possibility to work with a select bunch of the smartest full-time athletes we are fully fired up for the 2009 season. Let the games begin!”
