The British Heart Foundation’s long-running Randonnée Challenge, an organised ride along the South Downs Way, enters its 12th edition this year, and due to its popularity, they’ve added an extra date.
Now you can tackle the challenging South Downs Ways, with a choice of distances on offer, on the 27 June and also 25 July.
On each date there’s the option of 100, 65 or 35 miles. All the routes follow the South Downs Way. Those choosing the 100 mile ride will look forward to a staggering 10,000ft of climbing, and will start at Winchester in Hampshire and finish at Eastbourne in East Sussex.
The organisers are telling us that places are filling up fast, and with just 400 spaces on each date, you best be quick to get your entry in.
“We have to strictly limit the number of riders taking part to avoid disruption to other walkers and riders using the route,” says BHF’s Regional Events Organiser Tacye Blest. “As a result of this I strongly recommend that people enter as soon as possible so that they do not miss out.”
