Schwalbe has made its popular Rocket Ron and Nobby Nic tyres available in 29in size due to demand from the growing large-wheel trend.

The Nobby Nic and Rocket Ron models are the companys best-selling tyres and form part of Schwalbe’s  Evolution Line combining Triple Nano Compound, an extremely flexible and sturdy carcass as well as cleverly placed U-blocks for improved cornering grip.

The Nobby Nic now also comes with a ‘snakeskin’ – extra layers in the sidewall – to protect from damage and cuts. Weight is 645g. Pitched at XC racers, the 520g Rocket Ron will please the weight weenies with its light weight and fast rolling performance, as well as offering decent levels of grip and good mud clearance.

Lastly, if you’re after a white tyre to complete your build, then you’re in luck; the Rocket Ron is now available in a 26in ‘snow-white’ version. Numbers will be limited.

These three  new tyres should be available mid-April.
