Revealed last week, I finally got my hands on the new Garmin Edge 800. This isn’t my hand, it belongs to Garmin UK’s Andy Silver. Packing all the capability of the 705 and 500 computers but with a vastly improved interface, more powerful processor (so it’s quicker between menus and to calculate routes) and with a massive 15-hour battery life – which extends to 35-hours with the optional external battery pack – the 800 is going to be everything you could ever want from a cycle computer.
