Kokanee Crankworx will return in 2011, with the dates set as July 16-24 for the eighth running of the event in Whistler-Blackcomb.
British star Gee Atherton was crowned King of Gravity at this year’s Crankworx, which also saw Cam Zink’s come-from-behind to bag $15,000 and the Monster Energy Slopestyle title, while Brian Lopes claimed his fifth successive Air DH crown.
“Kokanee Crankworx 2010 succeeded once again in capturing the soul of mountain biking,” said Crankworx general manager Jeremy Roche.
“With so many events over the nine day stretch in almost every discipline, this year’s festival exceeded our expectations in every aspect. And the positive feedback keeps coming in.”
