Want to find out your
rights when it comes to Rights Of Way? The National Federation of Bridleway
Associations is running a seminar designed specifically for newcomers
to rights of way dealing with problems such as clearing obstructions,
maintenance problems and increasing the amount of local bridleways.
The Seminar will cover the creation of public paths through the 1949 National
Parks & Access to the Countryside Act, understanding the Definitive
Map & Statement, outlining the duties of the Highway Authority under
the Highways Act 1980, increasing network availability through claims
under The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 based on 20 years use and
Historical research
The seminar is being held on Sunday 16th April 2000 from 10am 4pm at the
Old Rishworthians Rugby Club, Copley, Halifax.
There is limited seating so book now to reserve a seat. The seminar costs
£10 including refreshments, though attendees will need to bring
