The Bikepark Parkride is back out again terrifying wildlife in Richmond Park in a frenzy of flailing cellulite. The ride starts at Bikepark Chelsea at 9.30 sharp, takes in three laps of Richmond Park, and back to Chelsea for optional cakes. The ride splits in to two groups – On the first lap the Hounds take the long route up the main drag, whilst the Fox[s] take a swifty through Isabelle Plantation (first lap only). From there it’s a straight pursuit to the end. The Hounds are led by ex New-Zealand International Warick Spence (Chelsea mechanic); whilst the Fox’s are harried into a cogent force by Bikepark’s fat veteran Phil Cavell. The ride’s aims are to get fit, learn to ride in a group and rediscover that training can be fun. You will need a road-bike or mtb with slicks and a reasonable base fitness. Bikepark-Chelsea – corner of King’s Road and Sydney Street SW3 – 9.30 am Saturday mornings or Roehamton Gate – Richmond Park – 9.55 am. Visit Bikepark Online at http://www.bikepark.co.uk |
