Starting to fill your shiny new 2011 diary up with events? Well here’s one for the 12 February, the return of the Hit the North enduro which takes place around North Manchester.
The ‘Winter Sprinter’ format sees a 2-hour race using the same course as in 2010, including the horrible grassy climb and the new Waterdale trails. It’s open to cyclo-cross bikes as well as, of course, mountain bikes.
Adding further interest will be a fleet of Ragley demo bikes, and the usual caterers will be dishing up tea and sandwiches. And that’s not all, Radcliffe Brass Band will provide a musical accompaniment.
Entry, which costs £14, is only available online, and the place to do that is at www.hitthenorth.net, where you can also find more info on the event including preview material and directions.
